Which Ethernet switch causes the least HF noise?
I''m currently switching a lot of low-power gear to USB/USB-C power. All of the gear is metal-cased for RF reasons, but the low-consumption stuff all has external switching supplies.

I have an office that I need switchports for 24 cubicals that need 2 network ports each with POE. The problem is due to my cable path the switches need to be right at the cubicles themselves
I love PoE like everybody else here and everybody in the IT and AV markets, but I have started getting "irritated" when everybody recommends a PoE switch or when it is specified by
One thing that has been on the list for a while is to get a gen 2 switch for the office both so I can use the fun AR feature, but also to get rid of the noise of the gen 1 switch which has its fans on constantly.
Hi, I''m asking for a recommendation based on experience regarding the choice of a network switch. We are a small non-profit and we will soon implement VOIP (13 phones) and we
Introduction This document describes an easy-to-use, low-cost isolated power supply to be used in Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) powered devices (PD''s) that is based on TI''s TPS2370 PoE interface
Looking for some feedback on fan noise on these switches after initial boot (when most every switch is like a jet fan). Do they quiet down to very low noise like non-POE models and ramp up based on
I originally purchased an USW-24-POE Gen 2 switch, and discovered that it made a high pitch noise (audible within the same room, switch not in a cabinet) depending on the amount of POE devices
Ubiquiti UniFi Switch US-48-500W PoE. Super Silence. Note: There are total of 4 fans (2 fans on each side) if you want to replace them all. This is most quiet fan in it''s form factor. Sunon
use Ubiquiti Switch Pro 24 PoE – Ubiquiti Inc. this one is a very quiet Switch S you''ll need a controller or cloud key to manage the switch and if using VOIP use Vlans no matter what others think.
I''m looking for a switch with at least 12-16 ports, Gigabit that supports Power over Ethernet on at least 4 of it''s ports that can be rack-mounted (19") and it ideally is fanless or has very low noise.
It never goes below 40-59% fan speed and while it certainly is not a loud switch it''s most definitely louder than the near inaudible claim they make for low POE use.
I started looking at this but for the Unifi switch a lot of the noise is due to the very poor grill design. So you disassemble it, hole saw it, and then put in quiet fans. It becomes a project that also destroys
Ive got a Netgear GS724TPv2 switch. It is powering 4 POE access points (Ubiqutiy) and about 12 network devices. The rack is sitting at about 34 deg C. The fan on it seems to be running at
